If you get oil paint on your clothing, use dish soap and/or hand sanitizer!
Step 1: cover oil paint spot in dish soap for five minutes
Step 2: gently scrub the oil paint spots with a nail brush or toothbrush (Rinse brush as you go. it'll get full of suds so rinse when that happens)
Step 3: rinse clothing
Step 4: repeat steps 1-3 as needed
Step 5: air dry
If dish soap doesn't work, use hand sanitizer instead (though my bf says it didn't do much).
If you have any other solutions for removing oil paint from clothing, leave a comment!
Adoptables Week
By now I hope you’ve learned quite a bit about adoptables. But once you’ve made and priced a design, how do you go about selling them? When selling anything on DeviantArt, it is important to keep in mind that you are dealing with a buyer's market. Most people on DA don’t have a lot of money, and most of them make art. This means that there are a lot of people trying to sell art and designs, and not a lot of people who can afford to buy them. To illustrate: when I search for 'adoptables' now I get 3,668,913 results, and more are added every minute. To stand out from the crowd you will have to make an effort.

1. Do you prefer traditional drawing, or digital?
Depends. If it's just sketching or more simple drawings, I prefer traditional and if I want something with more details or just better color, I choose digital.
2. How long have you been drawing?
Drawing was always my hobby but I'm trying to improve since 5/6th grade, so ca. for 4 years.
3. How many classes have you taken?
Well I had the art classes in school but they don't really teach you anything that really helps you or something like that.^^° Just the most basic of all basic stuff. And then there is youtube.
How to find Your *Style* Through Self-Art-Hate by TheChotta, journal
How to find Your *Style* Through Self-Art-Hate
So this is just me sorting through my thoughts, but I want to put this out there:
(I ramble, but read the step-by-step and the summary for the main points)
Intro:
We artists/aspiring-artists (aspiring-artists are simply humble artists) have a tendency to dislike our art and compare it negatively to others. We look at other's art, maybe an idol, and think something like, "Wow, their art is so much better than mine and always will be, no matter what I do". Telling ourselves this over and over again is painful. It reduces our productivity, confidence, self esteem, I could go on forever. In the big scheme of things, this is very unhealthy.

Heya, everyone! I wanted to make a small announcement that I have a RedBubble account as of now.
https://www.redbubble.com/people/wishingstarjar
It is currently empty, but I am playing with the idea of making stickers, greeting cards, wall art and whatever else featuring original art I will be making in the (near) future.
If there is anything in particular you would love to see (and have) from me on RedBubble, please let me know! All suggestions are welcome.
Due to copyright laws and all that jazz, I will not be making anything fandom related for RedBubble.

Why Disney's Twist Villains Don't Work
I keep stumbling upon new people and really enjoying their videos. I'LL KEEP SHARING WHAT I FIND!
But this guy talks about things I hadn't thought about before! Pretty interesting. :'0 May not agree with everything he says, though. xD Still entertaining anyways!

Find your way around Landscapes and Environments
Landscape Weekend
Welcome to another FywaDA! This time I have collected a large amount of resources that will hopefully help you improve your landscape and environment drawing skills.
Before we move on, I would like to give a very brief explanation of the difference between landscapes, environments and backgrounds.
A landscape is a painting or drawing which depicts a scene somewhere. This can be in the countryside, the city ('cityscape'), near water ('waterscape'), or anywhere you like. There can be characters in the image, but the main focuss is on the overall scene. The character (if there are any) is there to enhance the landscape. (ex
I've been seeing a lot of people I watch post statuses or things saying how they feel like the community on DA has been declining, as in they don't get much feedback anymore, or it hasn't been as much as it used to be.
This could be for a variety of reasons, but do you yourself comment on other's stuff? Do you respond when people comment on your things? If you don't, why? That same reason could be for others, too.
But I think it would be great if more people commented on the things they enjoyed! I know when people comment on my stuff instead of simply favorite, I then have them on my mind and notice them. If they comment a lot, I further re
